UI/UX Design
Development
The strength of the UI/UX design in WOW lies in the high-end collaboration between UI designers, CG designers, and programmers. Various tools, platforms, and devices can be utilized to make an approach customized for each project. In recent years, we have actively conducted projects using Unity and Unreal Engine.
Achievements
We have created UI/UX designs for a wide variety of products and services, including applications for desktops and smartphones, automobile meters and heads-up displays, car navigation systems, smart home control devices that work with TVs, speakers, lighting, etc., VR devices, digital signage for facilities, and graphic designs. We also collaborate with clients’ design teams on a number of advanced development projects such as concept and vision design. In recent years, we have also developed a number of original WOW applications, including the presentation tool “Breakfast,” the idea sheet creation and sharing tool “Rocket,” the AR application “WOW AR,” and the running application “Rungrah.”
Approach
The user interface and user experience design (UI/UX) that WOW aims for is more natural and more memorable. Visuals and sounds that take interaction into account. It is not just about the instantaneous impact or superficial beauty, but also about how to make users feel attached to the product through their hands-on experience. Such a design cannot be derived from methodologies or usability tests alone. What is necessary to leave a lasting impression in people’s minds, and how is a natural appearance created? We aim to create a more emotional interface design by utilizing our accumulated know-how in motion graphics and installations.
Attempt
Media and devices are constantly changing along with society—new points of contact between people, and new relationships between devices and people. The explosive spread of the Internet and the increasing performance of cell phones are changing the way society works. Information that used to flow forcibly from one place to an unspecified number of people is now a thing of the past, and it has become commonplace for users to collect the necessary information themselves at the right time. In the midst of such changes, the visual design also needs to undergo a major transformation. WOW’s approach to user interface design is moving toward a new horizon.
