MIRAI MUSEUM AERA
An interactive museum in the Takasago Thermal Innovation Center located in Tsukubamirai, Ibaraki Prefecture, will open in October 2020. WOW supervised the direction and production of four experience videos for this museum that was created to improve the awareness of the branding of “Takasago Thermal Engineering,” a leading company in the major air conditioning industry, and the building air conditioning industry. (Exhibition design and construction: Total Media Development Institute)
Air gate: “the entrance to the world that controls air”
An interactive video production using a fog screen. When visitors pass through the fog screen, the visuals with particles and fluid as the motifs change organically. We aimed to instinctively convey the image that air is something that can be controlled.
Air history: “we have been changing people's lives with air conditioning”
Video contents that introduce Takasago Thermal Engineering’s history and innovativeness. The video progresses when a device with a windmill incorporated into it is blown at. We used animation with illustrations to convey the age in which there as no air conditioning and how air conditioning technology was used to create comfort and change society in an easy-to-understand manner.
Air system: “air conditioning is moving this building”
Contents that introduce the state-of-the-art air conditioning system that is the star of the architecture of the innovation center. CG of the air conditioning equipment deep inside the museum is projected onto an entire wall and there is an explanation of how this building is air-conditioned. Near the center, there is also a hologram that allows visitors to freely observe the air conditioning equipment from any perspective.
Air future: “the possibility of a future paved by air conditioning”
An experience of exploring future life that slips in and out of view among the flow of air. How far can humans go in the future with the power of air conditioning? Where can they live? When a searchlight-type device faces the wall, the clouds clear up and visitors can catch a glimpse of the future air environment created by Takasago’s technology, such as space and the bottom of the ocean.
