METRO WEATHER vision movie
METRO WEATHER｜2022
WOW created a conceptual video introducing the functionality of Metro Weather, which aims to build safe airspace infrastructure by visualizing wind. Metro Weather is a Kyoto-based startup that aims to solve the last mile problem facing the widespread adoption of drones in society. As drone technology has improved rapidly, expectations regarding the use cases for drones have spread throughout a wide variety of categories such as infrastructure inspection, maintenance, and logistics, but as many objects of all sizes fly around in the air, there are risks facing the safe and accurate movement of drones. "Wind Guardian," the Doppler Lidar created by Metro Weather, allows for accurate monitoring of the wind conditions over a broad area, making it an invaluable technology for air traffic controllers. The conceptual movie introduces not only the features of "Wind Guardian," but also an image of what it will look like deployed in society.
