ISSEY MIYAKE Spring Summer Collection 2012
Paris
We produced a video installation as a part of the ISSEY MIYAKE Spring Summer 2012 show in Paris, October the 2nd 2011. It was the first collection by the designer Yoshiyuki Miyamae. The theme of the collection was ‘Bloom Skin’, full of energy in its transparency and flexibility, displaying a beautiful and colourful world formed from dots, lines and planes. The visual patterns we created were inspired by the colours and structures of the clothes, and we implemented these motifs in light and motion graphics.
Tokyo
For the show in Tokyo, we filmed the runway of the Paris show using 3 cameras, and created a new video from multiple views of the same subject to represent the enthusiasm of the runway.
About the Exhibition
Paris
The venue was a large tent in the Tuileries Garden, Paris. The video work consisted of a motion graphic projection on a 36m runway and an LED screen (length 24m, width 3.2m and height 5m) hung from the ceiling.
Tokyo
For the show at the headquarters of ISSEY MIYAKE in Tomigaya, Tokyo, we projected the movie on a large screen (length 18m by width 4m).
