Tranceflora Amy’s Glowing Silk
Sputniko!｜2015
Contemporary artist Sptuniko! held her “Tranceflora - Amy’s glowing silk” exhibition at Gucchi Shinjuku. Installations and photographs of Sptuniko’s “Rose-Scented Silk” and “Silk That Will (Probably) Make You Fall In Love,” conceived jointly with the National Institute of Agrobiological Sciences (NAIS) and their “glowing silk,” was on display. WOW oversaw the CG for a short film that opened at the exhibition.
It tells the story of the protagonist, Amy, who is in love with a certain man, and who seeks to create the ultimate dress from genetically-modified “Love Silk” that can capture his heart. The love silk Amy wears expresses brilliance and beauty through the captivating spots of light that run along her body.
