KOKUYO Communication Monitor
KOKUYO|2024
KOKUYO Co., Ltd. carried out a large-scale renovation of its Tokyo Shinagawa offices, as well as of its “THE CAMPUS” Tokyo showroom in stages from July 2024 to January 2025. WOW was in charge of creating digital artworks for the facilities that would generate visuals from large amounts of data.
In order to communicate the renovation concept of “Creating Together” both inside and outside the company, we planned works that would visualize the communication between employees. The three works, entitled “Chat,” “Place,” and “Connection,” visualize data for chat communication and attendance status, based on their respective themes. This data is automatically collected by a database server program, and the visuals are generated by importing several thousand pieces of information every day. *
In these works, each dot and line represents an individual employee. While each state is different, as a group, they perform dynamic movements and weave unique shapes, symbolizing the concept of individual employees, each with rich personalities, working together to create something.
*In addition to being encoded, personal and confidential information was removed from the data collected to generate the visuals.
