Hare to Ke Exhibition
In addition to the archive works that have been exhibited throughout the world, “Factory and Fantasy” and “Light Rain,” they also showcased the folk entertainment-inspired experiential installation “BAKERU.”
It is a brand new expression of the world of Hare and Ke (the sacred-profane dichotomy) from Tohoku, a region which lives and breaths tradition. During the exhibition there was a discussion event with an expert on Tohoku traditional art, a gallery tour of the exhibition, and a paper craft mask-making workshop. Although the exhibition took place over a short period of time, it succeeded in attracting a large number of attendees and truly captivated all those who witnessed it.
