New installation work “NEURO_SURGE” opens to the public
The art monument “NEURO_SURGE,” a collaboration between WOW and the in-house team “TEAM 101” responsible for the creation of BRAND SHISEIDO, will be made public from November 20, 2017.
This work was produced to express the world view of SHISEIDO’s new skin care series, inspired by neuroscience that stimulates the senses and awakens your possibilities. It is a huge installation work about 9 m in height that pierces the atrium of the SHISEIDO Ginza Building from the first floor to the second floor and creates an unprecedented display of light with the use of new advanced fibers.

It presents the complex intertwined state of various information, human relations, social structure, and infrastructure, with subtlety and boldness. It visualizes the information transmission of ordinary citizens’ sensory nerves exposed to daily human emotions. Touching an interactive ball changes various lights representing neurotransmission.
